Black-and-White Studio Portraits with the SL66
A small portrait series shot with the SL66 on 120 film.
The Rolleiflex SL66 is a medium format film camera with a tilt function that allows the lens to be tilted. When I use it for portraits, the focus spreads from one point to the surrounding area, and the blur softens, as if the focus is gently loosening. The part I want to show comes up quietly, and I can soften and move other elements into the background. I loved this unique look, and whenever I found someone who kindly agreed to be photographed, I took portraits in the studio. This is a photo collection from that time.
